Wife got me a GoPro for Christmas. Would like to drop it down to get videos of the bottom. Picked up some parts from Lowes and made me a case.

Curious to see what results you get, and how deep. I think it could be pretty cool. Trick with dropping cameras down deep is maintaining the integrity of your watertight seals under pressure (probably telling what you already know).

The case is supposedly waterproof up to 195 feet. We will see.

Are you going to add weights to hang off the bottom to help hold in the current? It will be curious to see if it spins. Hopefully you can share some cool footage.

If I need to yes. As soon as we get a good weather day (light wind) I will get out there to test it. Too bad Grouper season will be closed by then.
