Thanks for the great video SeaPro. I'll be adding this technique to the arsenal next time out. Heckuva lot easier than rigging ballyhoo!

Is there any way you could Dm me the video link? Youtube says it has been removed but it seems like other people are able to see it. Im always trying to find new rigs! Thanks

I went back to check something on the video and it was gone. I figured the ballyhoo industry paid Seapro to take it down lol

I can not imagine any reason he would have for lying about it! The technique works.

I’ll second that. Worked well on mahi out of Oregon Inlet a few weeks ago. Very easy to rig and rerig after a bite.

IMO all the attention went to his head and Immaturity took over. Some are starved for attention.

No doubt that there is something "fishy" about this thread.

Well I for one will try this. I already have 8 rigs ready to go. A couple naked and some with dusters and some other decorations.

1- In trouble over screwing antlers on deer
2- 2018 fishing report using fish from 2012
3- Prob jacked the squid idea from someone else and he is acting like he found the cure for cancer and will now share it with everyone.
And these are just the things we know and/or suspect. Doesn't take a pessimist to poo poo on anything related to the guy.

I think this technique is very similar to the OP's video.
I too can no longer find the original one. |
Yep, that's the way. I made up 8 eight rigs for this to try next time I'm offshore. A couple naked rigs with no skirt for just a squid, a couple with some dusters to give the squid some color and flash and a few with small rubber squid skirts that I cut the length of the skirts back some. Just need to add squid and get offshore.

Well...this is pretty dang close!!

And yes, I confess also, as I have a gallon size ziplock full of tied squid rigs and willow blade teasers. I tweaked them with colored blades for an added twist. Less confident than originally "sold", but I've made them and going to give 'em a whirl.

We tried these rigs out of Oregon Inlet first week of June. Worked very well on mahi and easy to rerig. No love by the tuna even though we found the exact same size squid (6-7”) in the stomach of some tuna we caught. Definitely worth trying again (maybe naked or with darker skirts next time).

Can you repost the video? I wanted to show it to a friend but the link no longer works. Thanks
