I need some guidance on selecting a rod for a Penn Slammer 3 10500. I will be kayaking bait 250yds out from shore and dropping it. I wanted to get a Carnage 2 12' conventional 60-100lb rated braided but I'm confused on if that rod will work for a spinning reel. All the spinning rods have a lower braided rating so if any pros can enlighten me I would appreciate it alot Thanks.
