Remember
Romans 3:23-24King James Version (KJV)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
New International Version
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. TYJ!!!

1 Timothy 1:15-16
Christ Jesus came into the world to SAVE sinners - of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe in Him and receive eternal life.

I just had to share this parable from Jesus, means a lot to me since I know I am one who owes him the most.
Luke 7:40-50 (NIV)
40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”
“Tell me, teacher,” he said.
41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,[a] and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”
“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” ""TYJ""

1 John 4:9-11
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.

Thursday evening two very dear friends of ours lost their only child to a drug overdose. He was 25. I know all too well the pain and heartache they are feeling, we lost our oldest son to an overdose five years ago when he was 22. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and still feel that pain. But I also find great comfort in knowing that the pain and brokenness I experience in this world is temporary, that Jesus, through His death and resurrection, gave me and gives each and every one of you the gift of life, an eternal life with Him. As Jesus said in John 11:25-26 when speaking to Martha, whose brother Lazarus had just died:
" I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
Friends, do you believe this?? Do you want believe this?? It's not complicated, it's not difficult. Ask Jesus into your heart today. No one is too far gone, too far down the road of sin for Him to reach. In fact, He's been with you every step of your life, walking along beside you, patiently waiting for you to turn to Him and give Him a chance. Make the turn. Ask Him into your life and begin today to truly LIVE. He will change you in ways you couldn't have possibly imagined.

A small plane was carrying a handful of passengers to a remote Alaskan town; George, one of the passengers, was nervous as they approached a landing strip in a snow-covered area. The pilot descended to a couple hundred feet, then gunned both engines, climbed and circled back. George's heart pounded, but the passenger beside him seemed calm.
"I wonder why he didn't land," George said.
"He was checking to see if the landing strip was plowed," the man answered.
As they made a second approach, George glanced out the window and said, "It looks plowed to me."
"No," said the other passenger. "It hasn't been cleared for some time."
"How can you tell?" George asked.
"Because," the man replied, "I'm the guy who drives the plow."
"GOD will always provide, and prepare you for your landing!" "TYJ, Thank You Jesus!"

while reading Luke, this morning this really stood out. Luke 9:27-28 27 is what I would say to Jesus if I met him in the flesh. Verse 28 is how he would respond to me..
Luke 9:27 as Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you."
28. Jesus replied , "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and Obey it."

As I was reading a devotional this morning, I was once again reminded how truly blessed I am ...
Ephesians 1:4-8 ( NLT )
Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do and it gave Him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins. He has showered His kindness on us ...

Another reason I follow Jesus, "Jesus didn't only die for us sinners, he died and paid for our sin." I/we were saved over 2000 years ago. Ours sins were washed away in the Blood that Jesus Christ shed for us ALL at the Cross of Calvary.
Some fear turning to Jesus, afraid they may lose a friend or friends. "I promise" you that are tired of being tired. You will NEVER lose a friend when you surrender to God. However, you may lose an -

With God in the middle of it all, we've done it guys. Praise be to God! TODAY "We" have had "ONE QUARTER of a MILLION HITS!"
This is combining 3 things;
1. The Anglers for Christ Thread = 205,509
2. Anglers for Christ T-Shirts Thread = 37,684
3. 7000 hits lost during the change from Frying Pan Tower to Saltwater Central/ = 7,000
Total hits = 250,193
Thank you so much Capt. Dave Tilley, for allowing these threads and not being "politically correct."
As my landlord said when we started our Anglers for Christ service at Old Ferry Marina, I told her I was unsure whether they would permit it or not, due to todays politically correct sickness. I'll never forget her response, she said, "Miles, Whats happening here is POLITICALLY CORRECT!"
Thanks again Capt. Dave!
You are the Backbone here!

These guys in Luke 24 reminded me so much of myself. After walking with Jesus all this time they still didn't know him. He lives today in each and every heart, yet we still deny his love, and shun him. I thought I could make my Kingdom greater than his. Boy, was I a fool!
Check out what Jesus said to them in verses 25-26..
How foolish you (WE) are --------
May God continue to Bless us all!

Given that we are in the midst of another hurricane, with what may feel like an unending deluge of water all around us, I find it interesting that when I flipped open my iPad to read today's devotional it comes from John 4:1-26. Jesus reminded me this morning that all this water will eventually stop falling from the skies and that the ground, although covered with water and maybe even flooded, will within a few days or so be dry again.
Doesn't this describe our lives at times? Certainly my life, before I came to know Jesus, seemed like a continuous cycle of floods and droughts, which always left me thirsting for something different, something more satisfying. But as Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well "whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst again. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life".
Sure, at this very moment we've got more water than we know what to do with, and at times our lives may feel exactly like this. But if the source of our water is anything or anyone other than Jesus, that well is eventually going to run dry. He offers you His cup today, all you have to do is reach out to Him and take a drink.
God bless you all and to my brothers and sisters at the coast, please be safe.

Guys, I hate to post, therefore overriding Tim's Testimony. It was a great one, and I just wanted it to reach as many as it possibly would. If you find yourself in the knot of life, which I did, you may find this short poem to be true for you.
WITH THOUGHTLESSNESS AND IMPATIENT HANDS,
WE TANGLE UP THE PLANS THE LORD HATH WROUGHT, AND
WHEN WE CRY IN PAIN, HE SAYS, "BE QUIET MY CHILD, WHILE I UNTIE THE KNOT !"
Our knots are never to large for God to untie.
In most cases fear and ego is the only thing that hinders HE from untying our knots. The tighter we pull the dock line or the anchor line the harder the knot is to untie!
