I have been trying to get Garmin homeport to load the .gps file and having no luck even after deleting some of the "". Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has a file they are willing to share I will owe you a trip offshore or a hand anytime in Morehead City.

It is the " ' " that are causing the problem.

Like 320' ft ledge.

Open it in something like Notepad ++ and search '

Thanks for the reply!

I deleted all ' and the .gps will still will not load in homeport. I am going to delete all " now see if this works.

Any other suggestions please let me know. Trying hard to get this done in time for trip offshore tomorrow.

It should be a gpx file coming from BWSM. Did you change the format to GPS? Unless you "Exported" it....A GPS and a GPX file are 2 different things.

I downloaded the BWSP file to my HD as a .gpx. I have not changed the format it is still a .gpx after removing the '

I checked garmins support forums and it seems according to their sample waypoint files that the " should all stay in the file.

Yes. The " should all stay.

The names is what is messing you up.

"140'foot reef" should be changed to "140foot reef"
