Anybody have experience with a pontoon boat converted to a duck blind?? Beavers have blocked our ability to control the water on 75% of our impoundment. Too wet to build a blind on the flooded portion and thought of giving an old pontoon a try. Have serious flooding issues when the river gets out so a built blind or the conversion pontoon have challenges.

When I used to fish some around Hobuken/Jones Bay there was a guide down there that had one fixed up NICE. Let me plunder around and see if I can find his contact info.

the alternative is the floating dock method. Just a deck frame with barrels or the like under it. Just build the rest like a regular stake blind. It is held in place with a a spud on either side to adjust for water level fluctuations.

Thought I would share the almost finished product. It is about 4 small pine trees short of complete. It turned out very well and now waiting on mother nature to provide some water. We are a good 16-18 inches low and no practical option to pump water in. I took a couple different blind designs and combined them to arrive at this design. I've mock tested it and very pleased with how it turned out. I'll report back later with more info in case someone desires to use this design. Could be customized slightly to be a great stationary blind as well. Thanks to those who offered input. We built it in my shop and assembled it on the boat in panels.
