Today my son cleaned some small spanish -16 / 19 inches ---and several had worms. I have seen the worms in about all bottom dwellers near shore - inshore,
but I cannot remember them in spanish. I am old, probably have not cleaned a spanich in 10 yrs - best glenn

where were the worms in the spanish? In the flesh? Guts? I think I've seen them in flesh very infrequently in the past.

I should have been more specific. "Spaghetti" worms in flesh. Some years ,in certain areas, they can be thick in trout and drum. I told my son when the filets were fried up, no one would know they are there. He said "I would"!! best - glenn

I see the little white ones quite frequently. If you aren't paying attention, you might miss them. I pull them out if I see them, but gshivar said, you'll never notice once you cook them. . .

I'll admit to even having sashimi'd some spanish mackerel (get it on ice in a hurry, and it's pretty good stuff). Might look at it a little closer next time ;)

I see them all the time. Probably in 25% of the spanish I clean. I bet y'all have been eating them without knowing it. . . :-)
