The September meeting of Cape Fear Anglers will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2022, at the Felix Café. The meeting will start at 6pm. Please arrive early if you would like to have dinner.
Before I go into the meeting particulars Gerry has asked me to tell everyone that the Flounder season has begun, and we do have a contest going on for 1st, 2nd and 3rd biggest flounder (based on length) as of today September 7,2022 Gerry says he has not received ANY entries. Very hard to believe that no one is flounder fishing. All you need to is send Gerry a picture of your fish showing a tape with the length of the fish make sure the picture includes date and time (in case of a tie) you can enter as many times as you wish the largest of your fish will be entered.
This month our guest speaker will be Captain Rod Bierstedt from On My Way Charters. Captain Rod will be speaking about Fall Fishing. Including King Mackerel, Trolling techniques and bottom fishing tactics. If you have ever been to one of Rod’s talks, you know that he is a fountain of knowledge and subscribes to the idea of paying it forward by always sharing his vast knowledge. I would suggest that you bring paper and pen to take notes.
