Have tried this before and it works. I will then throw the corn on the grill for a few minutes to finish it off.

I have done this for years.... im my opinion the ONLY way to cook corn on the cob now. Something about the silks and shucks getting steamed too gives the corn even better flavor...

Also have been doing this for years. I prefer 2 minutes per ear, and then just shuck the old way. Leaves a handle.
