I am looking to buy some bulk ballyhoo this year to use all year long. The problem is the ballyhoo comes in large bags and need to be separated down to smaller counts. Has anybody had any problems with refreezing hoos? I am looking at thawing, prepping then refreezing them. Will have have problems fishing these baits after they have been thawed? Also plan on putting brine on them before vacuum sealing them back up before freezing.

I would not thaw them all the way to prep and re-freeze. Let them thaw just enough to break up into smaller bags and re-freeze if you need to but thawing and re-freezing will make them mushy.

The shipping costs negate the savings. You basically get one free pack in every case you buy. The only way you will save money is to catch their free shipping deal they do once a year or get in on an order with a bait shop.
