Not really. Expect 3000-4000, but I've seen some go much longer.

I've seen a lot of people pass over used boats because they think 1000 hours is end of life (why they think that is beyond me but I've heard it all).
1000hrs isn't a lot! I don't know the year or story of the one you're asking about, but 1000 hours sounds like someone who uses their boat consistently and doesn't let it sit long periods of time. If its been taken care of and all checks out with your mechanic, I wouldn't worry about it!
I've ran a yamaha 2000+ hrs and a suzuki to 1700+ hrs ---- didn't blink an eye.

My cousin commercial fishes and crabs. He has a 2011 DF300 with 13000 hours on it. It's pulled pots and nets nearly every day. Regular maintenance and use. If it has been cared for and used a 1000 hours is nothing. For comparison, in an automobile, 5000 hours is roughly equivalent to 100k miles.

Going to piggy back off of this. My F90 has about 650 on it now. I change the upper/lower oil, water pump, fuel/water separator, oil filter, grease fittings, replace any zincs that look like they need it, (probably missing a few little things but basically the full 100hr service) once a year regardless of hours, and spark plugs about every 2 years.

Any other major items that you guys are doing at the 500/1000/etc marks?
