Looks like a short window if it is accurate. 8-2 with the wind building as it goes out of SW. Think I am going to look again late Saturday and make a call, too early to call it just yet for me. Could be one of those days where you head out with the mindset you turn back if they miss it. Hope it holds or improves!!

Looking at Saturday or Sunday out of Topsail, but won't be going too far. Want to see about picking up a king or two, but mostly just need to get out on the water.

Did you guys make a run at it? We rolled out of NTI around 07:00, and the wind was already kicking up over 10 knots. The swell was exactly as forecast, but the wind chop made for a bumpy morning. Commodore Admiral wasn't feeling too great, so I didn't take the beating to go more than a mile or so out. After all the bait I saw last time, I had some high hopes.

Apparently, the word is out that it's Shark Week. I lost count of the damned sharks we picked up on the troll in 35 to 45'. Black tips and Atlantic sharp nose were everywhere. And no kings. Ended up with a bunch of trashed rigs, though. I did keep a sharp nose for dinner, but the black tips were all too small.

I got word some bold souls picked up some dolphin around 23 mile rock area.
