Was planning a trip myself but NOAA's report is certainly not in agreement with what's showing up on ReefCast! Because of that, planning to stay on the hill so let's hear some reports if anyone is able to get out. Stay safe and tight lines...

It was a very pretty day out there today. A bit on the cool side, but calmer than I have seen it in a while.

John, we crossed the shoals and it looked like crap. Decided to stay close. How far did you have to go before the wind layed down

Ran out of MC/B Inlet at sun up. Wind worse than forecasted and out of North. Made first stop at 95 and 61 degree water temp. First drop produced nice Beeliner. Second drop resulted in a nice battle with gag grouper about 12-15 lbs. After the tears dried up from having to release him, we finished up with some very nice BSB and beeliners. Surprisingly no sharks. Ocean finally settled down a bit around 11:30. Headed in around 12:30 and first 10 miles were rough. Last 20 were great. Flattened out for a 30 mph run back to dock.

Buzz4Prez, We headed to the south southwest to the break. about 55 miles out. The wind over the hot water after about 48 miles had it stacked up a little, but not as bad as we are used to. Had a fun day jigging. 2 AJ's that eclipsed the 100 lb. mark, a few others over 80, some blackfin, about 6 kings, a dozen or so false albacore, 4 grouper, a half dozen triggers, and countless 15 to 40 lb. aj's and almacos. The crew was pretty much out of gas early in the day. Good Times.
