All is good at the Tilley's. Some minor flooding a little roof damage and no power but all is good

We have fared well in Hampstead. Minor leaking around some windows, and a bunch of dead marsh grass to clear off dock. Never lost power. Could have been much worse.

It was pretty brisk near Newport on the ICW. Only 2' above normal high tide, no damage but I did watch a small tornado fly over the trees about 300 yards east of the house. Other than that, less rain than I expected.

Highest water I have ever seen on Holden Beach. I have heard all canal roads flooded, and based on what I saw today, I believe it.

There is a floating dock in the road at the end of the street, in the road.

TONS of debris, from marsh grass to lumber littering everywhere you look in all directions.

Rescued 2 boats which floated off their lifts.

Power has flickered but strayed on. No cable for TV.
Raleigh has many residents without power for hours, including the Admiral, who ain't happy she is there by herself.

Looking good in Sloop Point, some flooding due to preexisting conditions. Sloop point road impassible due to flooding from Virginia Creek.
Some tree damage, lots of dock damage somewhere. I know because a steady string of lumbar and floating dock parts has been passing down the waterway.
PortaPotties scattered around, blue stuff!! Most hazardous conditions I've seen!!

Looks like OI Pier, SpringMaid pier, and SurfSide Beach pier considerable damage unfortunately. I think Topsail Piers OK so far.

Loud outside, wind has come around and honking pretty good!!

Been ok on the water at CB basin. Storm surge was up around 2' but never came over bulkhead, lost a board off the dock, got about a bale of pine straw in the boat. Power been blinking on and off all day but mostly on.
Hope the back side of it goes by without incident over night. Sounds like its howling out there right now but we can't feel it at the back of the marina.

I now live at Wendell, about 15 miles east of Raleigh. Poured out 6.75" rain before 4:00 and probably have at least 2 inches more. Lost power around noon. Reports of a million people without power. Lots of trees across roads.
My major concern is all this water is headed east like in Floyd. I had 14" here with that one. Eastern NC will have lots of problems starting about Tuesday.
Didn't get my generator carb fixed cause I didn't think it would be this way. Hope I can find a carb rebuild kit tomorrow if anything is open. Walmart still had bread milk and water at 6:00 but not a single D cell battery.
My three year old grandson does not understand why he can't watch Mickey Mouse on TV.
Thankfully rain has slowed up past hour.
Everybody be safe. I will not drive anywhere tonight with all the trees on the road unless it is an emergency

Benson got crushed with flooding. Lost my wife's BMW to water. I sat a 5 gallon bucket on my sidewalk this morning at about 9 this morning. At 3:30 this afyernoon it was flowing over. And it wasn't getting anything from the roof top either.

Tough wind in Kinston right now as well. We've been without power for 3-4 hours.

Wife, 3 year old, 3-month old, and myself sleeping in the living room tonight.

The website below shows wind gusts. It looks like some of the highest winds are still to come for those of us a little inland.

We drove around there at 4:30 ish. Water was over the main entrance road near the little launch ramp. The south west end of North Spooners had 4-6" over the street. All else looked normal.

Pretty dang calm in Beaufort right now, and very little rain today as well. I have a bad feeling about the winds early sunday morning though.

Southport behind the Bojangles-
Strong winds at 10:30 still probably around 35-40 with gusts above, not much rain. Boat still holding at BWP Marina,on Oak Island, but the dumpsters floated away around lunch time. Oak Island took a beating from the flooding so far. Heading to marina in morning if I can make it there.

One of my trees in the front yard came down around 8pm last night. I'm in Baltimore working and haven't seen pictures yet. The last text I got from Angela said the power was out again.

Ended up with 8.75" rain. Little River near my house has road closed for only third time in a hundred years. Floyd was last time. Power been out since noon yesterday. Pulling out generator to see if I can get it up and running.
Listening to TV5 in Raleigh with Coast Guard rescues in Ponetops and fatality olong I95 near Benson
Johnston County water went off sometime last night.
Have the three year old grandson and 81 year old mother in law with us.
No property damage as far as I can tell.
Hope all are safe and doing well.
